Mitsubishi Motors is set to take the championship crown once again at the 2023 Asia Cross Country Rally! We are now taking on this challenge with the All-New Triton. Catch the updates on the AXCR from August 14-19, 2023

Event Highlights

Leg 0

Team MItsubishi RALLIART together with all 3 All-New Mitsubishi Triton Rally cars have reached the AXCR starting point in Pattaya, Thailand. Team Mitsubishi Ralliart s led by former champions such as Chayapon Yotha and Piraphong Sombatawong No. 101 followed by Rifat Sungkar and Chupong Chaiwan No. 106 and Katsuhiko Takushi and Takahiro Yasui No. 112.

Leg 1

LEG-1, It's a very hot day full of of new challenges. As expected, there's lots of mud and dust from Pattaya through a part of Chachoengsao to Prachinburi. The Total distance 206.5 kilometers.

The results are not as expected, but every leg is a challenge. The track is brutal and Team Mitsubishi Ralliart will push further in th coming legs

Leg 2

This leg is 463.04 km long. The grueling competition is heating up but nothing can stop Team Mitsubishi Ralliart. Yotha Chayapon driving the #101 Triton, experienced an oil tank leak but managed to finish at 6th place at 21mins behind the race leader. Katsuhiko Takuchi in the #112 Triton had wheel hub issues but finished strong overall. Rifat Sunggar on the #106 Triton has been repaired from the damage of the previous leg and is ready to take on the succeeding legs. The team is confident that the drivers will finish stronger in the upcoming legs.

Leg 3

We reach the midpoint of the Asia Cross Country Rally 2023. Today's route is from Surin to Roi Et, through vast fields and dirt roads to Ubon. The total distance of this leg is 491 km. Team Mitsubishi Ralliart finishes strong in this leg. Chayapon, Yotha, of Triton #101, despite some obstacles on the way, still made the top 10 of this leg. On the other hand, Katsuhiko Takushi of Triton #112 may have lost some time but still finished strong. Lastly, Rifat Sungar #106.blasted through this stage and improved his overall ranking.

Leg 4

Leg 4 is 270.32 km long. Chayapon Yotha # 101 cracked a tail light. His car got damaged in this leg but did not really affect his performance. He is currently now at 3rd overall. Katsuhiko Takushi #112, lost his front bumper fell due to an the impact but overall still did a good job, Rifat Sunggar #106 experienced issues during the race that the Team Mitsubishi Ralliart service vehicle had to be deployed.

Leg 5

We are now at Pakse, Lao People's Republic. This leg is a bit shorter at 105kms but still full of obstacles along the way. Rifat Sungar #106 was at his best day today. He finished 1st place of the race today without any issues. While Chayapon Yotha of Triton #101 drove well and managed to maintain the top 3 spot overall. On the other hand, Katsuhiko Takushi of car #112 finished the leg with good results. Despite some hurdles in the past legs, Team Mitsubishi Ralliart is still climbing up the charts.

Leg 6

This is the last day of competition... the last stretch is 139.47 kilometers. Today's route has more paved roads which means = it will be a high speed finish. Team Mitsubishi Ralliart managed to get all three (3) Triton Rally cars to the very end to successfully finish the race.

Chayapon Yotha 101 still finishes the race unscathed at Top 3 overall, 112 Katsuhiko Takushi and 106 Rifat Sungar also tried to acheived their best times in this leg. Finally all 3 racers reach finish line with perfect car condition.
